Palm Sunday

The priest blessing the palms at the side altar before the Traditional Latin Mass in Warsaw today:

And a shot at the end of the long (but beautiful) TLM today:

The start of Holy Week, of course.

Sharply Pointed Building

From this angle, the sharply pointed building in Warsaw above looks absolutely incredible.

More Weird and Wonderful Murals

Some more weird and wonderful murals from my Sunday afternoon strolls round Warsaw, starting with the Big Hands one below:

Followed by a couple of dragon ones:

Below, someone has tried putting a mural on a garage door:

But it seems to have been covered with graffiti.

Still, the murals tend to brighten up grey urban environments:

And we finish with one of a wasp:

Done on some kind of electricity box, I think.

Cranes on the Skyline

Cranes dominate the Warsaw skyline as building work goes on everywhere.

When looking up at a crane, I found it difficult to believe that somebody works in a small cabin up there in the sky:

Climbing up and down the ladder must be a feat in itself.

Quite weirdly, the crane almost blended in with the trees.

Headscarf Woman Mural

Another shot from my Sunday afternoon strolls round Warsaw, a mural of a headscarf woman near a big red-brick Gothic church:

And some of the concrete buildings do have interesting shapes:

The one above almost reminds me of a castle.

The Cat Vegetable Van

After going to the Old Latin Mass and then having a Vietnamese meal, I usually go for a stroll in Warsaw.

And recently, I came across this wonderful Cat Vegetable Van:

It made me immediately think that both Tolkien and T.S. Eliot were mad on cats.

But a cat selling vegetables would be incredible.

Yeah, this vegetable van lit up the environment.

Vietnamese Restaurant Altar

Something interesting that I saw inside a Vietnamese restaurant:

As I thought, it turned out to be a Buddhist altar with flower and fruit offerings.
